02/09 Reply Card Run

0lockingup

Locking up the form in the bed of the press keeps things from moving. Don't get too overzealous, though.

1knifeaction

Spread the ink on the roller, gently, like butter on crispy toast...

2addingink

I am initially adding ink to the rollers. In my hand is a ink knife, on the counter is the can, and there is still a quoin key in one of the quoins. If I left it there would be hell to pay.

3inking

I am inking the form, with the cylinder in the trip (no impression) position.

4rolling

Operating the Vandercook SP-15. I am in the process of grabbing the printed sheet from the cylinder.

5thelockup

The form for the address side of Wil and Erin's reply cards, inked up at the end of the run.
